These chairs appear to be floating but in fact its all an illusion. The chairs are actually an artistic experiment with wire and paint that shows them as if they were floating around a flooded rom.

Sazonov house. Built in the 1890s in Ostashevo, Chuchloma, Kostroma region of Russia.

The history of the house is a little convoluted and obscure. Though it is commonly know as Sazonov house, there is speculation that it was not built by the wealthy merchant Sazonov, but by a man named Markov. Ropet is also credited with the design of the house, but it is not clear whether the house, which is a lot simpler than its blueprints, was built by Ropet himself or an architect that borrowed or was influenced by his ideas and aesthetic.

Berlin-based artist Matthew Davis creates these surreal images by using his brush to slowly drip oil paints into small pools. After each color dries over a period of several days a new layer is added resulting in a dense, multi-dimensional surface. The understanding and control of color that goes into this is incredible.

one year ago, in may 2011, i took these photos of the talented painter christian schoeler in his atelier in düsseldorf. originally they were meant to be used for a publication in art review magazine, but his gallery decided to just publish a repro of one of his pieces. of course the call telling us about the decision came in while we were shooting…
but it’s ok, at least i had a reason to shoot medium format and i somehow like the outcome :)

Well, Audge is my nickname. Its like a signature, “With Love, Audge” a way to end a note. Everything I do is with love, wether I hate it or not, I do put time into things. No, I do not make money off of my page.

I hope all is well. I have faith that you will find what you are looking for audrey. I think life was made the way it was so we would always be searching for ourselves. No matter what every day will always bring something new and you will always learn no matter your age to really define your own life would be to describe your own experiences and because it is never ending so is your search for yourself. Thats kind of my view on that. So I say just enjoy your experiences & you will find the light
